#WritingWednesdayAC: Mother lovin’

Hi friend!

Our encouragement series has come to an end, and I’m excited to take a quick week or two to talk about a group of women close to my heart: moms.

I might be able to guess what you’re thinking. We’re 11 days away from Mother’s Day...shouldn’t I save this email for a week from now? I don’t believe that celebrating moms, or anyone, is limited to just one generic day, so stick with me and let’s talk it out.

I have a really special relationship with my mom. My mannerisms, creative inspiration and energy, compassion for others; these things and more I learned by watching her. I even look like she did at my age. We know each other's wins and each other’s struggles. We share highs and lows, we encourage each other, pray for each other. My relationship with my mom is really special, and I’m so grateful God gave me her.

I’ll take any chance I get to celebrate my mom, but what about you? Maybe your relationship with your mom is not what you want it to be. Maybe you don’t have a good relationship with your mom. Maybe your relationship with your mom is non-existent. Or maybe you have lost your mother, and holidays are times when it hurts the most. You are not alone.

Who is a mom figure in your life? Perhaps an aunt or a grandparent? What about a neighbor, someone from a local community group? Who in your life IS a mom (or a mom-to-be!)? A friend, a sister? Maybe YOU are, and if so then sheesh woman give yourself a pat on the back because you’re a freaking rockstar lady!

This week I wanted to encourage you to get ready to love on your mamma! My schedule always fills more quickly than I plan, and I end up with a bunch of things I wish I did instead of things actually crossed off my list. Moms are so special. Moms are given such a unique set of gifts, there’s no other way to describe it. That’s why we celebrate them! Get ready this week by shopping our mother’s day card collection at amecourrier.com. 💌

Who are you writing to this week?

Happy writing!
