#WritingWednesdayAC: Freedom on the Fourth

Happy Fourth of July, friend!

Today symbolizes independence, freedom, and equality!

👉🏼Fun fact: did you know that the United States voted on and was actually granted its’ independence from Great Britain on July 2nd?

On the Declaration of Independence are written some of the most famous and profound words about justice that are still true to this day: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

All people are equal, and just by being alive, we all have God-given rights, including but not limited to life, freedom, and pursuing happiness. We are at a time in our country when those rights are being denied to many. Regardless of where someone comes from, we believe in #loveanyways and believe all people should be treated fairly.

Today, 50% of all proceeds from ALL of our products are going to be donated to ACLU, an organization dedicated to guarding the liberties of every person in this country. We don’t believe any human is “illegal,” we DO believe that all human beings should be handled with care. (We also believe in generosity and plan on giving to MANY more organizations in the future!)
