#WritingWednesdayAC: creating SPACE

Hi friend!

Today is the last Wednesday in May, and it’s the last week of our weekly Writing Wednesday. We’re going to pause with Writing Wednesday in June and return every other week in July! But today, I'm so excited to talk to you about creating space.

Is there something that you want to accomplish, but you feel like you just don’t have the time for it? I want to encourage you with 2 tools that will help you make the most of your time!

Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the center. Write out your wins and successes on the left, and then every activity you spend your time doing on the right. Now draw a line from your wins to the activity that directly lead to that result. The Pareto rule states that 80% of your results will come from 20% of your effort. So 80% of what you spend your time doing is producing the lowest yielding fruit. There will inevitably be tasks we need to do that do not directly correlate to our wins, but here’s your chance to take back your schedule and remove unnecessary distractions.

Are you finding that your day is full, without much wiggle room? Can you find space to carve out 15 minutes a day to work on your big goals? Even waking up 15 minutes earlier or staying up 15 minutes later will go a long way. Did you know that 15 minutes per day adds up to over 90 hours per year?! Those minutes add up, and your time is precious.

Owning your time will help you not just be productive in reaching your goals, but also help you create space for what really matters: time to connect with the people in your life.

Use the hashtag #WritingWednesdayAC to show us how you’re participating on social media!

Who are you writing to this week?

Happy writing!
