#WritingWednesdayAC: writing for productivity and focus
Three weeks ago, I shared 3 reasons why writing is good for our mental health. Each week since, I’ve been giving you questions to stir your mind for writing about the chosen topic. (Reason #1 HERE and Reason #2 HERE!) This week, we’re unwrapping the third and final reason that we’re going to cover. There are so many MORE reasons why writing is good for our mental health, I’ve just chosen to focus on these three! So, pens in hand and pad of paper ready, let’s begin.
Reason #3: productivity and focus.
What is my vision for the next year of my life? What do I want my typical day to look like one year from now?
What are my goals for the end of this year? What are my goals for the end of this month?
What is on my to-do list this week? How do those things help my accomplish my goals?
What can I accomplish today?
What are my priorities? Why?
It’s always important to go back to the “why” behind the “what.” We can get so caught up in the day-to-day tasks that we forget to dream of our futures. With our ever-growing lives, it’s easy to plan out our weeks and forget why we’re doing it all in the first place. I want us all to pause, dream a little, refresh ourselves on what our goals truly are, and plan accordingly!
